Hotel Policies

    At times, we may be able to accommodate early check-ins and late check-outs. For early check-ins, call the hotel the day of your arrival to confirm. Fees may apply.

  • A typical cancellation policy will be 48 hours from the day of arrival. If you need to cancel or modify your reservation, please let us know in advance. Special event cancellation policies vary. We encourage you to call the hotel directly at (574) 277-6500 to verify. Many special events such as football weekends, concerts, and graduation require a deposit and are non-refundable. Failure to cancel your reservation will result in fees equal to your stay with tax and/or the forfeiture of any deposit.

  • Ivy Court Inn & Suites is a 100% smoke-free property in accordance with Indiana State law. Guests who do not comply with this policy will be charged a $250 smoking fee in addition to 100% of their room charges and will be asked to depart early for any evidence of smoking in the room, including odor. There are several outdoor areas where smoking is permitted. We ask you dispose of ends in the designated receptacles and to maintain an appropriate distance from our entry doors.

  • For the health and safety of our guests, Ivy Court does not allow pets. We do welcome ADA service animals to stay with us. Please note that according to Tile II and Title III of the ADA, emotional support animals and/or comfort animals, they are not considered service animals.

    ADA service animals should always be under the control of the handler. Handlers that leave their animal unattended in there room will be asked to depart.

    The service animal should be housebroken and vaccinated in accordance with state and local laws.

    While we will accept service dogs, we are unable to allow miniature horses at the hotel.

  • Quiet hours are between 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, though we expect all of our guests to be mindful of other guests at all hours. We take our guests’ comfort seriously, and any disturbances will be addressed immediately by our staff. Disruptive guests will be asked to leave and the hotel does not have to provide warning of eviction. Evicted guests may be charged 100% of their stay plus any damages the hotel incurs due to their disturbance.

    The hotel asks that guests be mindful when they book a room at Ivy Court during special events at Notre Dame such as football and concert weekends. You will be immersed in the campus atmosphere. It’s a truly unique experience and one our guests appreciate. Due to our proximity to the University, however, our hotel is closely situated near frequented bars and restaurants that operate long into the evening. Please call our front desk to report a disturbance, and we will do everything we can to ensure a comfortable stay, but we will not offer refunds or discounts in these events for circumstances beyond our control.

  • In order to reserve a room, you must be at least 21 years of age, with a valid ID matching the name of the authorized credit or debit card on file. Only registered guests are allowed in guest rooms. If you are planning company, please inform the front desk. In-room parties are prohibited. Please to one of our associates about our rental spaces for large groups.

  • Reservations made on sites such as Booking.com, Hotels.com, Expedia.com and similar or reservations made with travel agents cannot be modified at the hotel. Guests must modify or cancel those reservations directly through the site or agent they were booked through. We encourage you to always book directly with the hotel. We will match confirmed third-party site rates.

  • All reservations must be secured with a valid credit or debit card at the time of booking. Rooms that are not guaranteed with a form of payment will be cancelled at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on the day of arrival. A valid credit or debit card must be authorized (the guest may see this on their account as a “pending payment”) at check-in for the full amount of the say with any known incidentals. This card must match the valid ID of the guest who reserved the room. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. Prepaid debit cards, such as Chime, and cash are accepted only at checkout with an authorized card on file and do not qualify as an accepted method of payment for check-in requirements. Authorization holds are released after final payment has been made and may take up to 3-10 days depending on the guest’s financial institution. The hotel is not responsible for any overdraft fees.

    Pre-paid reservations made on third-party websites, such as Hotels.com, will still require a valid credit or debit card to be placed on file in the event of incidentals not covered by the pre-paid amount.

  • We offer AARP, AAA and US Military discounts. You must bring your AARP/AAA card or military ID to qualify for this discount at the time of check-in. If we can not verify your membership with AAA or AARP, or you do not have your military ID, we will be able to offer you our published rate available at the time of check-in. These discounts are not valid during Special Events.

  • As defined by the federal government, we offer a per diem lodging rate for a Standard Room. You must be able to provide a government ID. Weekend stays at this rate are valid only with travel orders presented at the time of check-in. This per diem rate is not offered during Special Events.

  • Local, State, and Federal employees may have their lodging tax exempt if they present a valid Indiana ST-105 form prior to arrival and are paying with a company credit card that lists the exempt company or agency on the card. Reimbursable expenses are not tax exempt. Colleges, universities, churches, and other non-profit organizations are typically not tax exempt on lodging. The hotel is not responsible for the adjustment of taxes post stay when the proper and approved form was supplied retroactively.
